Through their eyes
During my last trip in Bangladesh back in december 2014, I gave 12 disposable cameras to a few children in the Maer Achol orphanage in Dhaka. This orphanage was the one used by my friend Tom Arthus Bertrand to achieve his “drawing with kids” project he had begun 6 months earlier. I took the advantage to select some of the kids that were interested and I simply told them to express themselves with some basic rules about focus distance and flash using. Those cameras are very simple to use, that was easy for them to understand. On the 12 cameras, I considered 6 with a real story behind, the others have been given too randomly, and kids (I don t blame them), where for some of them too young to have them in their hands. Anyway I am very happy with this project, to see their world through their eyes…
